In case you don’t know what a rocket stove is, as a “rocket scientist” survivalist, let me explain what it is to you. It’s pretty much just a small-diameter stove that makes use of wood for fuel and channels heat more efficiently.

Rocket stoves are earth-friendly. You just need a couple of twigs to fuel them up and they can create a lot of heat.

So if you are inclined to make your very own DIY portable rocket stove, you are in luck.

This step-by-step video by desertsun02 is so easy to follow. You just need to listen very well because you might miss out on something. Nonetheless, desertsun02 does a good job of explaining and showing us how it’s done.

I must say that it’s a pretty sleek-looking rocket stove. The best part is … it Works!

Watch the whole video first. There’s also a recap at the end.

Here’s the video.

As a friendly reminder, be careful when making this as you will be dealing with some sharp edges. It’s kind of a stupid reminder especially since survivalists like us always deal with knives. What’s another sharp edge, right?

Thanks, desertsun02, for sharing your rocket stove-making expertise.
